As promised from this post in July, I will be posting a workout video each month under “Free Workout Wednesday”
The videos I will be sharing are ones that I personally do. This month’s video is a HIT workout. I LOVE and LIVE for HIT workouts because it’s a wonderful reminder that staying active and fit does not require hour(s) of your day–just a few minutes (10-30)!! I’m sure we all can give ourselves a maximum of 30 minutes a day to workout because most of us can spend hours on the internet!
For those that do not know, HIT (High Intensity Training) is pretty much a hybrid between strength training (anaerobic) and endurance training (aerobic). It’s great for those wanting to build muscles while burning fat. Training like this is most effective when done 3-4 times a week.
3-5 Rounds with as little rest as possible
10 In and Out Jump Squats
(You can use a bench at the park, steps, or even the floor 🙂
10 (each leg) Bulgarian “Split” Squat
(You can do this without weights or as heavy as you’d like)
10 Elevated Pushups
(You can use steps, your bed, a chair/bench, or a stability ball!)
10 Up Down Planks
(reverse motion after 5 reps)
10 Touch Downs
(two touches count as one rep)
