Let Them Go And Let Them Grow

Sometimes, the best thing we can do for our friends is to
let them go and let them grow.

When they choose to entertain unnecessary DRAMA:
let them go and let them grow.

When they have dreams but choose not to take action:
let them go and let them grow.

When you see their potential but choose to be mediocre:
let them go and let them grow.

When they choose to be foolish instead of heeding to wisdom:
let them go and let them grow.

When they’re aware of their mistakes but choose not to correct them:
let them go and let them grow.

When you only want the best for them but they choose to settle for less:
let them go and let them grow.

When they tell you they areΒ being abusedΒ but take your concern for ill-will:
let them go and let them grow.

When they don’t take responsibilityΒ for the consequences of their actions:
let them go and let them grow.

When they blame their past but don’t take hold of their power in the present:
let them go and let them grow.

When you ONLY hear from them when they’re in SHIT:
let them go and let them grow.

We cannot tell our friends how to live; we can only remind them when they are going off-course–but if they choose to stay on the path to their downfall, we can only do one thing:
Let Them Go and Let Them GROW.

  1. needed to read this, as i’ve gotten into my 20’s trying to help and please everyone hasn’t worked out and i’ve learned that sometimes people need to do what they want and learn from their own mistakes, i only now give advice when i’m asked and don’t sweat if they don’t follow through because everyone needs to grow

    1. Exactly. After all, we most likely learned the same way as well: by doing what we want. hehehe Just hate seeing them suffer when I’ve warned them already but I guess people gotta do what they gotta do to experience life fully.
